Welcome to the website of Cheslyn Hay & Great Wyrley Flower Club.

We are a friendly and lively group. Please use this site to find out more about us.

If this is your first visit to our web site please use the buttons under the picture at the top of the page to explore further. The most recent events will be found under news. If you would like to receive notifications of any news by e-mail use the link on the right hand side of any page to enter your e-mail address and you will be informed automatically of any new posts. (You can cancel this at any time if you no longer require it).

We meet twice a month on the first and third Thursday of each month from February to July and again from September to December at the Salem Church Hall, High Street, Cheslyn Hay WS6 7AB. For details of how to find us see the Directions page.

At the first meeting of the month we welcome a demonstrator accredited by NAFAS (the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies) of which we are a member. In October each year we hold a special open evening when we welcome a National Demonstrator. At all of these meetings we hold a raffle where winners can chose one of the beautiful arrangements produced by our demonstrator. The programme page of this site shows a list of our upcoming demonstrators and their themes.

Our meeting on the third Thursday of each month is a practical session usually led by an experienced tutor. Details of our next practice session can be found on the News page.

Visits to places of interest are arranged during the year and members get priority when booking for these.

The club has a sales table where members can purchase oasis, ribbons and a wide variety of other items at very advantageous prices.

The skill level of our group ranges from complete beginners to very experienced and includes members who just come along to enjoy the demonstrations or enjoy the company of our group so please don’t feel that you have to be a ‘good arranger’ to join us. Many of our longterm members joined originally as complete novices and are always ready to help a new comer feel at home and make the most of our practice evenings.

In these straightened economic times many flower clubs have had to fold, if this has happened to yours do please come along and give us a try.

Whatever your level of interest we would love to welcome you as a guest to any of our normal evenings where I would be delighted to meet you ‘show you the ropes’ and introduce you to other members. Either drop me an e-mail in the comments box or introduce yourself when you arrive at the meeting. We love our club and are sure you will to and look forward to meeting you at one of our evenings soon.

For current details of membership see the membership page.
